Doctor Harleen Quinzel was a psychiatrist who had been working on the treating the Joker. After Joker’s escape she started to send Doctor Quinzel love photos. The good Doctor soon found herself falling for the trickster; she started to wonder what a life with the Joker would be like.
Harleen became obsessed with the Joker; she was infatuated and set out to track the Joker down to be with her forever. She had even started to portray the Joker on her face and in the way she dressed.

Harleen found the Joker, and was swept off her feet. She felt like she was in love with the Joker, but the Joker had other plans. Joker didn’t want just any woman in his life, he wanted a woman as sick and twisted as she was.

Joker tied Harleen up and worked on breaking her, in order to create a psycho you had to be broken by one. That’s what Joker would tell her over and over again until she submitted to Joker’s ways.

After she was released, Joker wanted proof that Harleen was hers forever. Joker made Harleen crawl to her, begging for her acceptance. Now she had stopped being Doctor Harleen Quinzel, she was now Harley Quinn the Crown Princess of Crime.

Joker began to train Harley to be a killer and evil like the Joker.

If Harley ever resisted, the Joker responded with cruelty.
Harley was a natural with a gun, her training had paid off when they attempted to take on the Dark Knight himself.

Unfortunately the Dark Knight took them by surprise and defeated Joker, but Harley wouldn’t give up on her love. She took Joker away from the Dark Knight and helped Joker recover from her injuries.
Harley & Joker took on Gotham; the two of them took over the local crime families. Soon Harley & Joker were the most feared criminals in all of Gotham, even the Dark Knight never returned for another fight.
They had vowed to love and protect each other, to spend the rest of their days plummeting the city into chaos. The Joker often could be heard in the night yelling “Why so Serious”?
